There was no free room for us, all tho we were the first to arrive on the day. We were very tired after 10 hours driving and we had to book a different hotel in order to calm down, get a bath and relax. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone!!! The staff was rude and unpleasant!!! They charge me for our stay and when I asked for a return they just ignored me!!! :(

It was so beautiful, a luxery feel and look and so big and just my best stay ever and not even expensive compared to other hotels in that time. It had everything you could need (coffeemachine and stationary supplies even bodylotion)

A nice area, clean and well kept.
A nice area, clean and well kept. Easy transport links into the city and to other nearby towns.
Enjoyed a visit to the windmill area, which was a cultural experience, lots to do.
Found eating a task, only because we wanted more traditional, national food, which we found hard to come by.

The Russian Tzar House is a must visit.
The Russian Tzar House is a must visit. It is the oldest house in Netherlands, preserved in very good conditions. You will learn a lot. The Zaan Museum also. The Zaanse Schans it is for one whole day or two days visit. A lot of museums. It is very nice. And if it is good wind you are going to smell only chocolate in the air. The bakery just in front of the bridge is having the most delicious patisserie. The restaurants around have great food, nice personnel.

I stayed in Zaandam to get out of the tourist hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. I liked it's proximity to the train connections which were close by and easy to use. It was nice to see another part of Amsterdam. The shopping areas and cafes / restaurants in Zaandam were really good.

There's a lovely canal with shops & restaurants on either side. You have a choice of fast food, healthier options or traditional Dutch dishes. The area is quiet at night, when the day trippers have left. It's a pretty town with interesting architectural styles. It was my first visit & I will be back. It's easy to travel by train to Amsterdam & other destinations & trains are fairly frequent. My hotel was within easy walking distance of the station & the shops mentioned above. The Albert Heijn supermarket is open 7 days a week until 10pm.
I stayed for 6 nights with my family of 2 kids. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, full equipped kitchen, living room with TV and audio. Demian and Agata live next door, easy to get connected in case needed. My kids are big fan of the cottage. Location wise is very good, 2 stops away from Amsterdam Centraal by Intercity or Sprinter. Zaandam itself is a very good neighbourhood to bring kids. Close to Dekamart, Albert Heijn and Zaandam city center. Our stay in Holland has been memorable!
the location, closeness to the train station, an easy access to Amsterdam, a supermarket in 50 meters, a very convenient and affordable parking. Zaandam per se is very nice and pleasant town. Air conditioning was super. The staff at the desk is perfect, friendly and helpful. Many thanks for that. We have a beatiful view from the window. The sound isolation was complete. The brealfast was well sufficient (albeit a bit the same; but we stayed 10 nights!)
The staff were extremely welcoming and happy to help whenever we had questions. They were extremely polite and always smiled and greeted us whenever we were leaving and coming back. The location was extremely easy to get to by bus although we had to get a Amsterdam and Region travel ticket as it is outside of the inner city area in Zaandam. However, the bus comes quite frequently and is an extremely quick trip to the hotel- especially Zaanse Schans!!
The staff, notably Kelly was wonderful and hospitability during my stay. She was quite funny too. For the last minute booking, the price and hotel amenities were excellent! I also really appreciated the all you can eat continental breakfast the hotel provided for a reasonable 9 euros. The breakfast consisted of various spreads, pastries, bread, boiled egg, cereal, juices, coffee, teas and slice meats. I'm very happy with my stay at B&B Zaandam.
Beautiful views of the windmills from your bedroom. Comfortable beds, nice updated bathrooms. Quaint dining room/living space where you get your breakfast and beautiful courtyards on the water. Easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants and market. The host was beyond friendly! So quiet and peaceful, truly the most amazing and unique experience. A way better option than staying in the city plus the train station is only a 15 min walk.
Very clean, very friendly/helpful staff and nice, adequate choice continental-style buffet breakfast. Location is quiet residential area but still easy walk to train station and nice restaurants/bars. Aircon was good and bed comfy with good shower. Only 15 mins from central Amsterdam (2 stops) although direct trains are only every 30 mins or so. Good access to Zahnne Schans etc if you are keen to see places that are not city centre.
The location was ideal and the hotel itself was lovely to stay in. If you are going to stay here it's so close to the train station which is a winner. As soon as you leave the station you turn right and walk until you get to the steps opposite the bike garage and walk down the steps and it's right in front of you. There is also a grocery store a stone throw away which was perfect for us as there was a mini fridge in the room.
We were really early and couldn't check in yet but the hotel kept our luggage stored whilst we went to central Amsterdam. The Hotel is easy to find when you get off the train, it's close to central Amsterdam which is what we were there to see. Really clean, the 4 bed family room is a mezzanine and it was great. Beds comfy, perfect room for 4 friends to share. Kettle and a variety of teas/coffee too.
Breakfast reasonably priced during week and had excellent variety.
Loved the location. We were in Zaandam, which was one station away from Amsterdam. But it was an interesting, quiet little town. We enjoyed getting to know Zaandam.
The hotel was new and comfortable. The staff always had smiles and good answers to our questions.
The train station was also very convenient for us.
The location is great, being close to the train station means you can get quickly to the city center, to the airport, etc. It's far from the city center and the overpriced and tiny accomodations there. But shopping centers and restaurants are also close by in Zaandamm. The bed was soft, the room was big, parking was available if you're by car.
Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast and coffee. Spacious room, housekeeping every day. Felt safe in the hotel and the area. A few minutes walk to the train station. Zaandam is a modern and buzzy town. Away from the hoards in Central Amsterdam! Direct and quick train to the airport and Central. Price was good compared to others.
Hotel is based in the very beautiful area of Zaandam, just next to the train station from you can get directly to central of Amsterdam. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. You can see the city landscape from the window because rooms are based on 10th and 11th floor.
Hi all. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel) The hotel is very clean, warm and cozy, in the center of Zaandam, 7 minutes by train to the center of Amsterdam) The staff is the best, friendly, pleasant, especially the girl Ella Sharafi) I rate the hotel 10/10)
Much cheaper alternative than staying in Amsterdam, Zaandam is quite a nice town and only 2 stops on the train from central Amsterdam. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was very nice. Hotel is next to some nice cafes and restaurants and a nice shopping centre.
Very spacious room and bathroom for what we needed (triple). Ideal location to explore Amsterdam. Yet in Zaandam you can escape the hustle and bustle of the capital. A supermarket opposite the hotel.
