This is a fantastic hostel and experience. It is basic and outside of town center, but that makes it way better than other options (you don't want to stay in Malang center). Beds are comfy and private. Included breakfast is hearty healthy and delicious. They arrange all the tours (Bromo, Sewu, etc) at great comparative rates. Best of all, the hosts are phenomenal!.. Helpful, happy, engaging, and will do whatever it takes to make your stay and experience in the area as awesome as possible. Highly recommend staying here!

My recent stay at Huize Jon was absolutely delightful! The owner, Pak Jon, was incredibly friendly and informative, making me feel right at home. I was pleasantly surprised to be offered free coffee, and let me tell you, it was delicious! The entire staff was also incredibly nice and helpful throughout my stay. Can't wait to visit again!

This place is great! We had lots of space to lay out our suitcases in our private room. Very clean place and can tell the bathrooms are checked often. Love the kitchen area and being able to store cold drinks. The staff are friendly and soooo helpful. They suggested vegetarian restaurants, helped us book our train tickets, and were all round very welcoming and accommodating. We loved our stay here.
