Basecamp Wales offers family-run hostel accommodation in Llanllyfni, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and 30.3 km from Pen-Y-Pass and 8.2 km to the beach at Dinas Dinlle. Everything. Great check-in experience, plus we got great recommendations for our hikes. The shared area is clean and provides all you need, including a notice board with information about hikes around. Our room was great. Highly recommend!

James John Hamilton House and backpacker hostel is located in Fishguard, on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Tenby is 57 km away. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property. I loved the home, the room accommodations, the hospitality and the host!! I was warmly welcomed and had a wonderful stay in this lovely and charming place. My room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, and I had everything I needed. I was close to the bus station and a good pub for dinner. The common area was comfortable and well stocked. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay. I hope to be back one day!! Thank you, Steve, for everything!!!

Situated in Betws-y-coed, 20 km from Snowdon, Woodlands Centre features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Amazing location close to restaurants and beautiful walks close by. The buses to Snowdonia are within a 5 minute walk of the hostel as well which was great! The common areas were spacious, a large kitchen to use, showers had hot water and the beds were wooden so there was no squeaking. The staff were lovely and gave us advice for our trip - would stay here again next time we’re back!

Set in Capel-Curig, 11 km from Snowdon, The Rocks at Plas Curig Hostel offers accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. Welcoming and very nice location, with a friendly personal. I recommend!

Situated in a converted school house, Lodge Dinorwig is located in Dinorwig, 8 km from Snowdon. Free private parking is available on site. Incredibly comfortable sleeping pods with privacy curtain, wider than normal mattresses, two pillows, and charging outlets. Staff was super friendly and helpful to provide suggestions on how to get to town or where to hike for the day. Breakfast and dinner(for a reasonable 10£) were delicious, just the right serving sizes for fueling a day outdoors. Common area is great to chill in after a long day and play board games with fellow guests. This is one of those places that you want to tell everyone how amazing it is, but at the same time don’t want to in order to make sure it’s not booked out when you want to go back, and you will want to go back again. Couldn’t ask for a more perfect hostel.

Located in Caernarfon and within 13 km of Snowdon Mountain Railway, Totters Hostel features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. The room was very spacious and clean. Great views. The kitchen of the hostel had everything we needed. And the hostel was very quiet overall. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

Llangollen Hostel Self-catering is a 4-star, Victorian town house in the centre of Llangollen. Amazingly spacious, clean room with everything you’d need. Great to have all the usual hostel facilities while also having a hotel quality room and en suite! The location was top notch - parked in our usual car park and said “we better find the hostel” - looked up and there it was!

Set in Merthyr Tydfil and with Cardiff University reachable within 45 km, The Butchers Arms - Grill Pub and Accommodation offers express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a terrace, free WiFi... This pub had the best hospitality I've ever experienced. Staff and locals were fantastic. Food was exceptional and beds were the best I've slept in for a long time. Thanks to Andrew and his daughter for the warm welcome

Situated in Fishguard, close to the Pembrokeshire Coastal path, Hamilton Lodge - Cottage sleeps 8 has 3 bedrooms and a secluded cottage garden with covered terrace. We were able to set thermostat where we liked. I appreciated this sooo much! The house is amazing with three bathrooms! I loved being in the house it is beautiful and so many helpful details were given to us about wifi and where to go locally etc. Our host was super friendly and helpful with questions! We were able to do washing at the house which was lovely too! I was very happy to be in a house where recycling is taken seriously too. We had a great stay! The host is a seriously lovely person.
