Excellent place to stay. nice breakfast (they’ve started including breakfast in their stay for free). Dorms and private rooms have great AC (although don’t expect an eskimo room when it’s the middle of summer, the ACs across Zanzibar take a beating then). This is a chilled hostel with a stunning pool area where you can relax and read a book. It is NOT a party hostel, which is exactly what I was looking for. Mohammed (the host/owner) is a really nice guy and goes out of his way to make his guests feel welcome and helps with booking activities and rides to anywhere on the island. About 95% of the guests, including myself, extended their stay.

New Teddy's on the Beach er staðsett í Jambiani og býður upp á útisundlaug, garð og ókeypis WiFi. Gististaðurinn er með verönd og bar. Absolutely loved my whole time at New Teddy’s. The location, space and facilities are a dream: right in front of a gorgeous beach, beautiful layout with the swimming pool in the middle, the different lounge options, the sunshine and the breeze, the bar and open living/dinning area. The whole environment really makes it easy to meet people, hangout and overall feel really happy while being there. The food and drinks were incredible, highly reccomend the salads and cocktails (specially during happy hour, when everybody gathers around the bar) and the prices are really reasonable. Finally, the staff team is amazing, super warm and friendly, hardworking, trustworthy, they give the best reccomendations because they genuinely want to share their knowledge and love for this place. Asante Selina, Nuru, Enock, Juma, Amos, Raphael and the whole team, your good vibes make this place really special :)

Villa Upendo Paje er staðsett í Paje, í innan við 100 metra fjarlægð frá Paje-ströndinni og býður upp á verönd, reyklaus herbergi og ókeypis WiFi hvarvetna á gististaðnum. I can honestly say, i fell in love with this place as soon as I saw it. The beautiful terrace outside was just calling me to enjoy my morning coffee there. And luckily I was able to, because they have a very well equipped kitchen (filter coffee machine included). Nina and Benja, owners that welcomed us to their Villa, were super nice. Shared so many amazing tips about the island and helped us to organize some trips around the place. Our room was really nice and super clean. I love the local vibe of the place. With hot water in our own bathroom and fast WiFi.

Mambo Leo Hostel er staðsett í Paje, í innan við 400 metra fjarlægð frá Paje-ströndinni og 19 km frá Jozani-skóginum. Boðið er upp á gistirými með garði og sameiginlegri setustofu og ókeypis WiFi. Nice garden to hang out, very nice staff.

Your Zanzibar Place er staðsett í Paje, nokkrum skrefum frá Paje-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, verönd og veitingastað. The best location, very friendly and helpfull manager Miro. Included breakfast more then enough to start your day. Very good value for money,very profesionalni team. Bathrooms are very clean. The best kitchen in Paje and very good prices( you van eat lunch or dinner for 4 €) Do your self a favor and book here!

A calm, cozy oasis with a relaxing garden, a perfect place for backpackers and solo travelers, conveniently located in the Nungwi Beach district of Nungwi, Green's Nungwi is situated 200 meters from... After traveling around in Zanzibar for a while I could honestly say that this is the best place i have stayed. It’s super clean, big breakfast, the service is at top and for accommodation a very good price. Zanzibar In general is not cheap and it’s not easy to find budget accommodation, so to find a place that is this cheap and also a much higher standard than most places is amazing. Even the more expensive places I’ve stayed can’t keep up on the service level that Greens provide. The respect between everyone who is working inside Greens is very nice to see, I bet Greens is a very lovely place to work. That’s probably why it’s such a family atmosphere inside Greens. Was reading other reviews about greens and the people who complain about small details are just ridiculous, some people always have to find something to complain about. You have to come here to experience it yourself. I’m definitely coming back here

Stone Town House er staðsett í Zanzibar-borg, 300 metra frá Stone Town-ströndinni og býður upp á loftkæld herbergi með ókeypis WiFi og alhliða móttökuþjónustu. The house itself is beautiful, everything is done up very nicely and even the beds in The “dorms” are very spacious single beds. The staff were exceptional! We arrived at 6am the morning of check in after travelling through the night, and one of the members of our group was sick. They had no problem letting us up to a room that early and did not charge us any extra. The same thing happened on the last day with a sick member who couldn’t leave the bed and again they were so accommodating and kind. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice spot in stone town!

Drifters Zanzibar er staðsett í Paje, nokkrum skrefum frá Paje-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði og bar. I have been living in Tanzania for over 6 years, and I come to Zanzibar a few times a year. My favorite place in the whole island, especially in Paje, is Drifters. Super fun vibes, great beach, great food, close to everything, and best place to be! If you're traveling alone or with friends, I highly recommend Drifters!

Aquarium Beach House er staðsett í Nungwi og býður upp á garð, sameiginlega setustofu, verönd og veitingastað. Gististaðurinn er nokkrum skrefum frá Nungwi-ströndinni og 2,5 km frá Royal-ströndinni. Exceptional place located directly on the beach, the owners very very helpful and friendly! Great value for money, clean rooms and good food in the restaurant, definitely coming back!
